Brett Hudson of Owensboro, Ky, came away with a win Saturday in the street stocks division in racing at Rockingham Speedway.

The race was the first of two 100-mile races set for the Fourth of July. Finishing second behind Hudson was Tony Conway, who finished second behind Hudson in qualifying on Friday.

Rockingham City Manager Monty Crump drove the pace car for the first race, and deputy county manager Rick Sago had the honors for the Late Model Stock Car race.
