The Board of Elections is located at 221 S. Hancock St. in Rockingham. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. The last day to file is July 17 at noon.
All notices of candidacy together with the proper filing fee, must be in the possession of the Richmond County Board of Elections by the required date in order to be accepted.
The following seats are available:
Town of Dobbins Heights: Town Council (two seats).
Town of Ellerbe: Mayor, Town Council (three Seats).
City of Hamlet: Mayor, City Council (two Seats).
Town of Hoffman: Mayor, Town Council (five seats).
City of Rockingham: Mayor, City Council (three seats).
