Kristi Reep, 11, daughter of Danny and Hattie Reep of Hamlet, earned the Girl Scout Bronze Award on June 4, 2009.

The Bronze Award is the highest award that a Junior Girl Scout can earn.

While earning the Bronze Award, Reep volunteered 2200 minutes at the Hermitage Retirement Center. She learned leadership, responsibility and trust.

Reep said she enjoyed sitting and talking to the residents at the Hermitage Retirement Center while painting their nails each week.
