Gregory is in the process of finishing the first two phases of her scholarship requirements after completing an Outward Bound Program in Montana last summer, prior to her freshman year, and having recently returned from an international trip abroad to participate in a community service project.
She will finish out her summer public service commitment by working full-time at the Habitat for Humanity, serving Moore and Richmond Counties, for the next six weeks.
Gregory is a sophomore Economics major and plans on attending Law School after completing her four years at UNC. She has also been selected as co-chairperson of Project Literacy for the Fall 2009-2010 academic year. Project Literacy is a university organization that directs over 400 members at the campus to academically remediate and mentor students and adults in core subjects in local schools around the Chapel Hill and surrounding areas.
She is the daughter of Dan and Denise Gregory of Rockingham.
