First of all, I would never disgrace or disrespect the sheriff’s family that way by calling him a name in the paper. As far as I’m concerned the Sheriff can’t turn Rob’s Place into anything; I don’t recall him making loan payments to the bank.
Seems like everybody I talk to is scared of the sheriff but me; he’s a man just like I am. The sheriff might shut Rob’s Place down, but he can’t turn it in to nothing.

This is like one of these young kids now that is cutting on themselves for attention - you do realize that, right? You're nicking yourself so people don't forget that someone said something hurtful about you.
Well, apparently, it didn't fall of of you just like water off a ducks's back. You're still all teary-eyed about it here a month later.

If everybody wrote a letter to the Editor every time somebody called them a name...the paper would be filled with NOTHING ELSE.
We're all guilty of saying things in haste and calling names but enough of anything is enough.
Get over it !
