Presenting him the keys is Lacy Shepherd, right, post commander; and Pete Harrell, post first vice commander. The post conducts a major raffle each year to raise money for local nonprofit organizations, students and to assist needy veterans and their families. The post also raises money selling food at local events, which include the Plaza Jams held by the city of Rockingham. It meets at 6:30 p.m., the last Tuesday of each month at the East Rockingham Fire Department.
