Mr. Earl Junior Allen, 75, of 227 Fifth St., Rockingham, NC, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, May 23, 2009, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Mr. Allen was born December 21, 1933 in Richmond County, the son of Robert Allen and Ruby Huggins Allen.

He, before retirement, worked at Burlington Industries for many years, and also at Cameron Morrison. Mr. Allen was a Charter Member at Maple Street Free Will Baptist Church.

Visitation was Monday, May 25, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Maple Street Free Will Baptist Church.

Funeral Services were Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at Maple Street Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Darwin Cook, Rev. Frank McQuage, Rev. Mike Rankin and Rev. David Lee officiating.

Burial followed at Richmond Memorial Park.

Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Eda Ruth Allen & Rosemary Allen; and granddaughter Jennifer Allen.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Hayes Allen of the home; daughters, Pam Kirk and husband Jerry and Sweet Pea Lisk and husband Joey, all of Cordova; sons, Darrell Allen and wife Marilyn of Hamlet and Ken Allen and wife Billie of Rockingham; one sister, Leona Bartley of Ward, SC; brothers, Robert Allen of Rockingham and Ed Allen of Wetumtka, Alabama; nine grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.
