Brittney Hudson, Camilla Villman and Amparo Mollinedo were selected to the all-conference team.
A freshman starter, Hudson scored a team-high six goals on the season.
Lady Raiders coach Bennie Howard said he is counting on Hudson to be one of the team’s leaders next season.
“Brittany split time playing midfielder and forward this season, but gave a 100 percent every time she took the field,” Lady Raiders coach Bennie Howard said. “She hustled and never gave up, and I hope her attitude will rub off on the other team members. It’s nice to have a girl coming back on the team that made all conference. I just hope her game will continue to improve.”
Howard will have to replace seniors Mollinedo and Villman next year.
Mollinedo was second behind Hudson with five goals. Mollinedo returned to the Lady Raiders after leaving the team as a junior.
“Amparo elected not to finish the season when she was a junior, but came back and made the team,” Howard said. “She did a good job playing both midfielder and forward for our team. When Amparo played midfielder, she had free reign to create plays and get the ball on the outside so our wings could get crosses. I also played her at forward, which gave her the opportunity to score goals.”
Villman finished with three goals on the year, but Howard said her best contribution was on defense.
“She was the leader on our defense as one of our four sweepers,” he said. “She kept our four defenders organized and did a good job of cleaning things up. For all these girls, I’m proud of what they achieved this season.”
