The Richmond County Planning and Zoning Board of Adjustment will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, County Administration Building, South Hancock Street, Rockingham.
The Richmond County Board of Adjustments and Appeals will consider a conditional use permit request from Grainger Davis to construct an office building and parking area for Dove Transportation on N.C. 381 south of Grace Chapel Church Road in Hamlet.
It will consider a request from Joseph C. Everett for a conditional use permit to construct a billboard on U.S. 220 at the intersection of Harrington Road.
This request was continued from a previous meeting because the proximity to another billboard was in question.
The planning board will review a proposed zoning amendment regarding the use of pre-existing commercial buildings.
It will also review proposed amendments to the Richmond County Code regarding telecommunications towers.
Gerald Witherspoon will join the boards as a new member having been appointed recently by the Richmond County Board of Commissioners. He is a former member of the planning board.
Billy Cipriani was appointed an alternate member. He would take a seat on the board at any meeting when a regular member is absent.
