Deputies arrest two on drug charges

Richmond County Sheriff’s Office deputies have arrested two suspects involving the sale of illegal controlled substances, Capt. J . K. Glidewell said.

Daniel Pete Caulder, 26, Scotland County Line Road, Hamlet, was arrested on felony charges of possession of marijuana with intent to sell or deliver and maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bond was set at $500.

During the arrest, deputies seized 70 grams of marijuana and a digital scale.

Datus Wall II, 28, Breanner Lane, Rockingham, was arrested on felony charges of possession of cocaine with intent to sell or deliver and maintaining a place for controlled substances, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was released on a written promise to appear in court.

During the arrest, deputies seized eight grams of crack cocaine and two grams of marijuana.

Incidents reported to the sheriff’s office include:

n At a house on Battley Dairy Road, Hamlet, someone broke in and stole $2,150 worth of personal property.

n On Channie McManus Drive, Dobbins Heights, someone did $300 damage to a window and door of a house and stole a stereo valued at $185.

n Someone struck a vehicle with an ax on Aab Lane, Rockingham, doing $300 damage.

n A victim told deputies a suspect pulled her hair and threatened to kill her at a house on Charles Street, Hamlet.

n A vehicle valued at $7,000 was stolen from beside the road at Wiregrass and County Home Road.

n At a place on Everett’s Mill Road, Rockingham, someone stole a $2,500 boat motor, a $1,500 boat motor, two electric boat motors valued at $600, a $150 firearm, $65 worth of fishing rods and reels and $300.

n Two counterfeit $20 bills were given to a victim at a house on Jess Avenue, Rockingahm.

n Equipment valued at $300 was stolen from a house on Chestnut Lane, Rockingham, along with a $70 vehicle license tag.

n A four-wheel vehicle of unknown value was stolen from a residence on Lake Road, Rockingham.

n A victim told deputies a suspect pointed a firearm at him while he was at a house on U.S. 220 North, Ellerbe.

Arrests by the Rockingham Police Department include:

n Michael Morman Jr., 25, April Lane, Rockingham, was issued a citation charging him with simple possession of marijuana.

n William Junior Bruce III, 47, Martinsville, Va., was issued a citation for simple possession of marijuana.

n James Quantae Ratliff, 20, Watkins Loop Road, Rockingham, was arrested on an order for arrest on charges of driving while license revoked and misdemeanor larceny. Bond was set at $1,000.

n Bobby Joe Buffkin Jr. , 35, Goodman Street, Rockingham, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of larceny. Bond was set at $500.

n Ivan Stanley Covington, 44, Scaleybark Road, Rockingham, as arrested on misdemeanor charges of assault on a female, communicating treats and doing $1,305 damage to property. He was held in Richmond County Jail until a judge set bond.

n Kenneth James Harrington, 46, Buttercup Drive, Hamlet, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court on charges of misdemeanor larceny and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $500.

n Michael Shane Goodwin, 33, Fenton Street, Rockingham, was arrested on a felony charge of second degree sexual offense. Bond was set at $50,000.

n Cynthia Ann CiCi, 52 Short Street, Rockingham, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of larceny. Bond was set at $500.

n Temekia Terry, 22; and Angela Brower, 38, both of Rockingham were issued citations on misdemeanor larceny charges.

n Melissa Parrish, 36, Long Leaf Lane, Rockingham, was arrested on an order for arrest on a charge of two counts of violations of court orders.

n Lisa Parker Hatcher, 36, Ponderosa Drive, Hamlet, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of larceny.

n Shauna Rae Thompson, 20, Airport Road, Rockigham, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of second-degree trespass. Bond was set at $1,000.

n Sarious Bernard Covington, 24, Warburton Avenue, Rockingham, was arrested on an order for arrest on charges of driving while license revoked and failure to burn headlights.

n Angela Michelle Grey, 25, Stillwell Street, Rockingham, was arrested on charges of misdemeanor larceny. Bond was set at $500.

n Joy Richardson Thurman, 36, Stillwell Street, waa arrested on a charge of misdemeanor larceny. Bond was set at $500.
