FAYETTEVILLE — After winning seven in a row, the Richmond baseball team suffered its second straight setback with a 4-3 loss to Jack Britt in a Mid-Southeastern Conference game Thursday night.

The Buccaneers have swept the season series after winning 5-2 on March 18. The loss dropped the Raiders to 10-5 overall and 5-3 in the MSEC.

Despite pitching a complete game, Dylan Davenport suffered the loss. He struck out six and scattered four hits. Davenport also went 2-for-3 at the plate with two doubles and a run batted in. Sid Steen was 2-for-3, while Brent Franklin went 1-for-4 with a double.

The Raiders return to action at home at 5 p.m. Wednesday against Durham Jordan.
