DARLINGTON, S.C. — Miss Cassandra Parker, 18, of Darlington, S.C., died Thursday, April 2, 2009, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.

She was born March 26, 1991, in Stanly County, N.C., the daughter of Tarshar and the late Gaunther Burns.

She was a junior at Darlington High School.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church with the pastor, the Rev. D. R. Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at the Northside Cemetery.

Surviving are her mother and stepfather, Tarshar and Antoine Gibson of the home; one sister, Alexus Womack of the home; two brothers, Cordaro Parker and Courtney Parker, both of the home; and her grandfather, Larry Parker of Rockingham.

Nelson Funeral Service of Rockingham is in charge of arrangements.

Cassandra was a close friend of mine when she was at Williams. I was just starting to wonder where she had moved to when another friend of mine told me that she had been killed in a car wreck. My prayers go out to her family. R.I.P Cassandra we love and miss you forever and alwayz.
