On Friday, March 22, the lodge will open its doors to sell homemade chicken and dumplings from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The plates, which will sell for $6, will include chicken and dumplings, cole slaw, green beans and homemade dessert. According to Mason Jim Barbee, proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards the Oxford Orphanage, also called The Masonic Home for Children at Oxford, the WhiteStone in Greensboro and lodge maintenance. This fundraiser is one of three the lodge does every year. The plates can be eat in or take out and delivery is available for orders of five or more.
