Thank you for this post. I agree with Nancy Leviner that it would be nice if the obituaries that are posted include more information. I have lived in RCO for over 20 years. I currently reside elsewhere in the state; however, I view yourdailyjournal.com daily to keep informed of events and people from my "hometown." It is a shame, as Nancy stated, that her simple request has turned into a religious debate. It is a shame that individuals who claim to be so "schooled" in biblical knowledge find it okay to argue with others when the Bible states that we are to "Seek Peace" with others. Everyone has a right to their opinion, but really? At least write about something that is relevant to the letter submitted to the editor if you choose to post a comment...Just Sayin.

Thanks again for all the support on my letter written. How this got so out of hand, I will never understand. All I was asking the Editor is to consider listing family names when there is a death so people that may know the families could pay respect. The part I was speaking of on religion, I was just asking the Editor if families have to pay to print information on obituaries, then why should there not be a charge for people that write letters to the Editor. I know that with what I would have to say, I would be more than happy to pay a fee to have my article published if the Editor felt it was worth reading. I feel if there was a charge for this, then articles published would be worth reading and people would be able to understand the contents in one’s letter. Writing a letter thanking someone for a good deed, showing appreciation toward someone, would be nice letters to share. Arguing back and forth doesn’t solve anything. The response I received concerning religion really had nothing to do with the content of my letter. I truly am not trying to tell anyone how to believe or who to believe in, but according to Genesis, God created man in HIS own image. Finally, John 3:16 says it all. I just pray that all of you will be richly blessed, and I will keep all of you in my prayers. Hope you will do the same for me.

It is a shame that making a suggestion as I did has now turned into a religious issue. Why don’t you people live in the real world today instead of the Old Testament Days? Read the book of Revelations and you will find what has happened, what is happening, and what is going to happen. Folks, we are living in the last days believe it or not. I really don’t care how you believe, or what you believe, or who you believe in. All I have to give account for is myself. I am not afraid of dying, nor am I afraid of judgment day. That is something we all will face, again believe it or not. It is very obvious that some people that have nothing better to do than argue the Bible, have been educated beyond their intelligence. I don’t feel that I need to get my preacher to give anyone scripture that will disagree with what some of you have written. Everybody has an opinion of their own, and you know what has always been said about opinions…. EVERYBODY’S GOT ONE. Also be careful about assuming there is a saying about that too. Hello Ernie- Its such a shame ,I do not have the ability to write a letter that suits the ones who are so articulate in the English Language and have knowledge supperior to mine (and yours).So I ask this group this question.iIn the King James Bible we are taught that the anti Christ or the opposed of the Mssiah will come and proclaim himself God ,a substitude God.But how can he come when he has been with us since the pope declared that he was Gods substitute.We cannot have two anti-christ.Now the first pope stood before the seventy elders ,the cardinals and said see me, and presented himself to the world when there were no televisions and the world knew the anti-was was there .The pope could not see into the future and see a t.v. put his picture there.No one knows what the Messiah will look like,but he cannot look like the catholic pope,thats for sure.But last week one said THE NEW POPE WOULD LOOK Yahusha(aka jesus).Ayin,the seventh letter of the Hebrew alphabet represents the eye,sight,fountain ,knowledge,eye.When the popes stood up every eye that looked upon him saw him,if he looks like Jesus ,Jesus will look like the pope.Is this possible ?Rev.1:7-Behold he is coming with the clouds,and ever ayan will see him,even those who pierced him.666 has been on the earth the whole 200 years.

Is not our Saviour Hebrew? Were not Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (later renamed Israel ~ the father of the twelve Hebrew tribes) Hebrew? Was not Moses Hebrew? Were not all our saviour's taught ones Hebrew? Was not Paul Hebrew?

A thousand years ago there was no English language. All of the above spoke Hebrew and/or Aramaic (see John 19:17-20;Acts 26:12-15; 2 Corinthians 11:21-23; Revelation 16:15-16).

Thank-you for your letter Ms. Leviner. I completely agree. I'm so FED UP with reading the inane drama that these few people flood the Journal with. I'm sure one of them will soon reply to my comment and offer the Hebrew definition of one of the words I've used along with a completely off the wall essay!

Ms Leviner, I certainly agree with you, I also have missed friends relatives death knowledge because survivors were not listed and I personally believe information concerning survivors is important local news rather than just a notice of that individuals death.
