Howard Hyatt, 69, of Wallace, SC, died Friday, February 15, 2013 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. He was born in Blenheim, SC a son of the late Willie Hyatt, Sr. and Annie Bell Carver Hyatt. Mr. Hyatt was the owner and operator of Hyatt’s Auction and Appliance.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Thursday, February 21st at the family church beside his home with Rev. Jim Angle and Rev. Eddie McLean officiating. Entombment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park Mausoleum.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Marion Hyatt, JB Hyatt, Willie Hyatt, Jr., and Durham Hyatt.

Surviving are his wife, Linda P. Hyatt; children, Tammy Hyatt Bass, husband John of Wallace, SC, Chris Hyatt, wife Andrea of Wallace, SC, Brent Hyatt of Rockingham, NC, Teresa Smith, husband Tim of Bennettsville, SC, Michael Hyatt, wife Crystal of Wallace, SC, Howard Hyatt, Jr. of Bennettsville, SC, and Anita Kelly, husband Shawn of Darlington, SC; eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a sister, Louise Hyatt Jackson of Camden, SC.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 20th from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the family church and at other times at the family’s home.

Memorial contributions may be made to King’s Gate Church International, 161 Sierra Ave., Hamlet, NC 28345.
