Legal Aid of North Carolina Inc., Pittsboro, in collaboration with private attorneys and Duke law students, will hold a Wills and Advance Directives Clinic on March 12 in the Bynam Building at First United Methodist Church. The location is at 400 E. Washington St., Rockingham.
The clinic is for residents who are seeking assistance with free preparation and execution of wills, powers of attorneys, health care powers of attorneys and living wills.
To attend you must call 919-542-0475 or 1-800-672-5834 before March 8 to be screened and reserve a space.
The screening makes sure the applicants qualifies for free legal services and meets LSC eligibility guidelines. Submitting an application does not guarantee legal services.
The Legal Aid clinic is possible because of involvement from the North Carolina Central School of Law Pro Bono Program, Collateral Consequences of Criminal Convictions Project and volunteer private attorneys.
Legal Aid of North Carolina is a statewide nonprofit law firm that provides free legal services to low-income people.
