Wendy Kelly Jordan of Rockingham graduated with a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from East Carolina University at the Dec. 14, Commencement Ceremony in Greenville.

The title of her doctoral dissertation is “A Study of the Effect of Kindergarten Entrance Age on the Referral and Placement Rate Into the Exceptional Children’s Program.”

Dr. Jordan received an Associate Degree from Richmond Community College in 1990, a Bachelor’s Degree from Appalachian State University in 1992 and a Master’s Degree in School Administration from East Carolina University in 1999.

She is currently employed with Richmond County Schools as principal of Mineral Springs Elementary School. Dr. Jordan is married to SFC Butch Jordan and has a son, Noah. She is the daughter of the late Richard Kelly and Barbara Benson, and the granddaughter of the late Herbert and Theresa Sessoms.
