FAYETTEVILLE — The Richmond Lady Raiders softball team blanked Mid-Southeastern Conference foe Douglas Byrd 10-0 in five innings to earn its fourth straight victory.

Richmond’s ace Maggie McKenzie tossed a one-hitter and struck out 12 Lady Eagles’ hitters.

The Lady Raiders (4-2, 3-0 MSEC) had a total of 12 hits. Brittany Tedder led the hitting attack by going 2-for-4 with a home run and two runs batted in. McKenzie also was 2-for-4 and drove in a run, while Brittani Hodges and Morgan Denham both were 2-for-3 with a RBI. Kandace Frye had two hits and two RBIs, while Amanda Terry and Lauren Grant each added two hits.

The Lady Raiders return to action at 4:30 p.m. today at Anson.
