The funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at the Wagram Church of God officiated by Rev. Harry Clark and Rev. Jerry Springs. Burial will follow the service at Pinecrest Cemetery in Gibson.
Mr. Teal was born in Richmond County on December 22, 1953. He was the son of the late John B. Teal, Jr. and Elizabeth Morgan Teal. Before his illness, he worked as a mechanic with the Electrical Equipment Company retiring after 14 years of service. Johnny was a retired fireman serving on the Gibson Fire Department with 30 years of dedicated service. He also served as a longtime faithful member of the Wagram Church of God.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Jane Rushing Teal of their home; his son, Jason B. Teal and wife Susan of Gibson; a brother, Dennis Teal and wife Linda of Hamlet; sister, Linda Taylor and husband Larry also of Hamlet and a very special aunt and uncle, Jerry and Beulah Weinreis of Laurinburg.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24th at Richard Boles Funeral Service in Laurinburg.
