Legal Aid of North Carolina is presenting the Do It Yourself Divorce Workshop Jan. 30 at 12 p.m.

The workshop will be held at the Richmond County Judicial Center in the mediation room.

The class will teach residents how to complete necessary paperwork to represent yourself in a divorce preceding. Residents who are interested in attending must be separated from their spouse for a least one year, have no marital property or assets to divide, and have no custody issues to be litigated at this time. The workshop is free.

The presenting attorney will not give specific advice on individual matters. Residents may require additional legal assistance and may need to consult with a private attorney.
