Mrs. Flonnie Mae “Peaches” Wall, 80, of 1921 Park Ave., Rockingham, originally of Anson County, died on Sunday, March 15, 2009 at the Rockingham Manor Nursing Facility.

She was born on August 28, 1928, daughter of the late Willie B. Wall and Allie Smith. She attended the Henry Grove School in earlier years and was a member of Forestville A.M.E. Zion Church, Lilesville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fletcher B. Wall, Sr., and son, Stevenson Grim Wall.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 20, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 1729 Derby Road, Derby, with the Reverend Mary Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Forestville A.M.E. Zion Church Cemetery, 723 Clarks Mt. Road, Lilesville.

Public viewing will be held on Thursday from 1-7 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Service in Rockingham.

She is survived by her children, Fletcher Wall, Jr. of Rockingham, Flonnie Wall Gould of Lilesville, Willie D. Wall of Lilesville, James C. Wall of Bennettsville, SC, Annie M. Wall of Hamlet, Sam E. Wall of Rockingham, Hannah J. Wall McDougald of Hamlet, and a daughter, Queen Ester Wise of White Plains, New York; one sister, Pecolia Leak of Fayetteville; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Nelson Funeral Service of Rockingham is in charge of services.
