Ms. Rosa Lee Beasley, 84, formerly of Charlotte Street, Hamlet, died, Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at Richmond Pines Healthcare and Rehabilitation, Hamlet.

She was born April 6, 1928, in Norfolk, VA. daughter of H.F. Monroe, Sr. and Fannie Channell Monroe.

Ms. Beasley was a past member of Glenwood Free Will Baptist Church, worked for 21 yrs. at Roses Dept. Store and was a member of Hospital Auxiliary at Hamlet Hospital for 23 yrs.

A Graveside Service will be held Friday, November 23, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Richmond Memorial Park, with Rev. Henry Williams officiating. Burial will follow.

Ms. Beasley is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Matthew Paul Beasley; and brothers, Harold, William and Homer Monroe.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Beasley Hawks and husband, Gray Hawks, Sr. of Hamlet; grandchildren, Regina Grace Hawks Yingling and husband Robert D. of Hamlet, Gray Hawks, Jr. and Paul Hawks both of Wilmington; step great-grandson, Robert W. Yingling of Hamlet; sisters, Blanche Summers of Va. Beach, VA, Jane Merrell of Texas, Frances Holland of Rockingham and June Cockrill of Seattle , Washington.
