Richard Eugene Hodges, 77, of Bellmawr, New Jersey, died Nov. 15, 2012, at Manor Care, West Deptford, New Jersey.
A memorial service was held Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, with a burial in Bethel Cemetery Pennsauken, New Jersey.
He was born March 5, 1935, in Richmond County, a son of Henry and Shadie Knight Hodges. Hodges served 10 years in the U.S. Navy, and was a former truck driver for Roadway. He also worked security for 11 years with the Philadelphia Phillies. Hodges is preceded in death by his late wife, Elaine Hodges, his parents, and two brothers, Ernest Hodges and Henry Hodges Jr.
He is survived by his sisters, Lois (Bea) Paul, Marie Quick, and Jean Laughridge all of Hamlet, and Gloria Reaves of Rockingham; also two brothers, Harold Hodges of Electra, Texas, and Carl (Buck) Hodges of Hamlet.
