Raymond C. Edwards Sr., 77, of Rockingham, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Nov. 7, at Glenwood Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Butch Parks officiating. Interment will follow in Eastside Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, Nov. 6, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Glenwood Free Will Baptist Church, and at other times at the family’s home.

He was born July 17, 1935, in Elmira, New York, a son of the late, Delbert and Marie Miles Edwards. Edwards was a member and deacon of Glenwood Free Will Baptist Church. He worked with the Coca Cola Company delivering drink boxes.

In addition to his parents, Edwards was preceded in death by a son, Andrew Edwards; and eleven siblings.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia C. Edwards of the home; sons, Ray Edwards Jr. of Dundee, N.Y., and Dale Edwards of Rockingham; siblings, Gene Edwards of Rockingham, and Catherine Dean of Montour Falls, N.Y., and a grandson.
