Kindergarten students kicked off Grandparents Week at L.J. Bell Elementary, and participated in several activities in preparation for their Grandparents Day.
Students wrote and told stories about, and drew portraits of their grandparents.
They also learned poems, songs and dances to perform.
Some classes made up poems or songs. Other classes compiled a digital scrapbook of their grandparents. Faculty and staff decorated the tables.
Principal Bobbie Sue Ormsby and Assistant Principal Julian Carter served tea and water.
Each grade level at L.J. Bell has a special day this week, during which grandparents are invited.
