I was volunteering

Dear Editor,

I’m writing about the article on Tuesday, Oct. 2, “Man asked to leave animal shelter after altercation.”

Many of Evonne Swanson’s statements are not true. She accused me of declining to volunteer. On Aug. 13, I attended a board meeting. Swanson told me she (Swanson) had filled out a rescue report for a bite dog, saying it had left the county when in fact it was at her house, and if Tommy Jarrell found out, he would be mad. I requested a copy of July’s animal report and corporate bylaws. Swanson promised me Director Davis would email them the next day and Davis agreed.

They didn’t come. I emailed five other requests for the documents to Davis on Aug. 14, 29, and 31, and to Swanson on Aug. 16 and both on Sept. 12. I was volunteering during this time. The Sept. 12, email angered Swanson and she sent me a blistering letter. You should see the offensive letter she sent Dr. Cooley. The Daily Journal has my copies of 26 emails to and from rescues, 13 emails between me and Swanson, 17 emails between me and Davis. Nine foster agreements including seven dogs on Sept. 5. And Swanson said I declined to help?

I was not inside as she accused. I was prevented from entering. The day before, Swanson, my daughter and I walked through the same room together after she asked me to foster a dog with mange. When I called her she turned on me, so we argued as I walked to the car. I complained they had healthy dogs with sick dogs, but didn’t threaten to take over the shelter that day.

his statement were he says he was prevented enter is incorrect. i was at the shelter the day in question , he walked up to me and spoke mentioning he had 40 dogs... yes 40 dogs? don't they make a show where people have that many dogs?.. but that's my personal opinion. he was prevented entry into an area where the public even most volunteers are not allowed. i don't know about you but if i went walking into the backroom at walmart i would get told to leave as well because i do not work there... just a thought from someone that was there that does not get paid to work there but offers my time and accepts and follows the guidelines set as a volunteer

Amy I am disappointed in you. You know your comments are not the point as we have been talking about being denied entery of the back room not the front office. My job was to walk around taking pictures of dogs and try to get them adopted or rescued online. They had adoptable dogs in the back in the same kennel with dogs with pnemonia. And dogs outside. Not to mention Mrs Swanson walked with me a Miranda through that room the day before.

Russ Fincham a man that just wants to make a name for himself. You can tell when he is lying when he opens his mouth.I know he always wants to make his self look good calling him self a Rev.Well being a Rev he should have not used the curse word's that was stated, and I have seen his outburst.Take what he said in this statement and turn it around and with a

grain of salt.

Hey Muskateer. When are you going to stop wasting your time dogging me and falsely accusing me of lying. you are a coward for hiding behind online aliases. Those kind of attacks reflect badly on you not me. I made a clear break from you and all you hold dear because I don't want to do this. I don't want anything to do with you. So please don't continue to follow me online and enjoy your life. Spend it with positive thoughts.

Instead of bringing up the speck in my eye I suggest you remove the plank in yours first.
