Duane Cochran Photography will be taking family portraits at McLaurin Center from Oct. 8 to Nov. 9. The portrait sessions are the beginning of a series of fund raising events for the clients of McLaurin Center in Hamlet. Portrait sessions will be given to those who give a tax deductible donation of $20 to McLaurin Center.

To schedule a portrait session with Duane Cochran, call 910-582-0934 and ask to speak to Mrs. Nell. She will schedule sessions between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Sessions will take approximately 15 minutes. Portrait sessions can include: individuals, couples, families and pets. When scheduling your portrait, Mrs. Nell is available to suggest clothing and props.

The McLaurin Center is a non-profit vocational training and day activities facility for adults with intellectually-developmentally disabilities. They teach social, educational, vocational, and pre-vocational skills to their clients. All proceeds from the fundraisers will go directly to McLaurin Center.

“The Christmas season is coming up,” Cochran said. “These portraits will make a great inexpensive gift for families and friends.”
