Dear Editor,

When I looked at the Daily Journal on Saturday, Sept. 29, I was overwhelmed with joy to know that the Town of Dobbins Heights was approved for the monies ($500,000) to build a Community Center on the historical grounds of the old Capital Highway School.

The men and women that have gone before us, especially the older generation, would be proud to know that the Town of Dobbins Heights, better known as the “North Yard,” is making great strides.

We are a little town with big dreams that always knew we could. I would personally like to thank and applaud Mayor Blue and his staff that never gave up to make sure this project came into fruition. I am hopeful there will be bigger and better things to come for Dobbins Heights, “The little town that can.”
