The American Red Cross will hold a special fund-raising event called Ride for the Red on Saturday. The countywide motorcycle ride begins at 1 p.m. and will help benefit the local Richmond County Red Cross.
Riders are asked to meet at Sport Cycles, located at 749 U.S. Highway 74 Business in Rockingham. Registration begins at 11:45 a.m.
The cost is $15 for single riders and $20 for double riders.
Bikes will depart from Sport Cycles and cruise to Little River Winery and Rockingham Moose Lodge for refreshments, door prizes and a 50/50 raffle.
