RALEIGH — Margaret Elizabeth Bryson Selph, 92, of Raleigh died Saturday, September 15, 2012, at the Oaks, Mayview. She was the daughter of the late Hayne Leaman Bryson and Minnie Dora Bryson, and preceded in death by her three brothers, Hilary, Boyd and Kenneth Bryson.

Born February 15, 1920, Margaret graduated from high school in Hamlet and earned a degree in business at the University of South Carolina. In 1939 she wed Carl Duvall Selph, Jr. (deceased) and is survived by her three children: Suzanne Elsberry Schweikert of Charlotte; Jeffrey Leaman Selph and his spouse, Cindy, of Cary; and Mark D Selph of Raleigh; sister-in-law, Pat (Buddy) Thorne of Charlotte, four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

A long time resident of Raleigh, Margaret may be fondly remembered by many former Peace and Saint Mary students as their Resident Counselor.

A 1:00 p.m. visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, September 18 at Fellowship Methodist Church, 1200 McDonald Ave., Hamlet followed by a 2:00 p.m. service. Interment at Mary Love Cemetery will follow.
