The East Rockingham Men’s Club held its first golf tournament at Loch Haven Golf Course on Friday, Sept. 7, with 16 teams playing.
All players received a gift bag and prizes.
First place winners were Jim Klesener, Bobby Luck, Joey Herberg and Chris Bullard. Second place winners were Tommy Grant, Buddy Brooks, B.H. Guinn and Tommy Sipka.
Trey Sikes won the Men’s Longest Drive, Ricky Strickland won Closest to the Pin, Lorie Locklear won the Ladies Longest Drive and Roy Harris won the Half and Half money.
The men’s club said they were thankful for the support of local businesses.
A new car, sponsored by Mike Griffin Cars, was offered to any competitor who could get a hole-in-one on the No. 10 hole, but no one was able to accomplish this achievement.
Hot dogs, chips and soft drinks were served for lunch.
The East Rockingham Men’s Club said it looks forward to the second annual golf tournament next year. Proceeds from the tournament go to local charities.
