Summer Jones Phifer, 56, of Rockingham, died Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at her home. She was born December 25, 1955, in Robeson County, a son of James R. Jones and the late Thelma King Jones.
Mrs. Phifer was a registered nurse.
Funeral services will be Sunday, September 9, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. at Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham with Mike Rankin officiating.
Surviving, Her husband, Curtis Haywood Phifer, Jr. of Rockingham. Children, Jennifer Six of Rockingham, Jason Fulp of Cordova and Carey Fulp of Rockingham. Father, James R. Jones of Camden, TN. Sisters, Janet Benson of Tarheel, Linda Nicely of New Market, TN, Brenda Landt of Orlando, FL and Audra Culbreth of Roseboro. Brothers, Albert Davis of Troy, Dale Davis of Troy, Jimmy Jones of Huntsville, AL, Timmy Jones of Silver Springs, TN and Joey Jones of Kissimmee, FL. Three grandchildren, Bryson Rice, Tyler Campbell and Makayla Campbell.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2-3 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
