He was born June 3, 1928 in Richmond County, son of the late Helen McRae H ine and Foster Sneed. He was a chipper with Bucle Eye Steel Co.
Funeral services will be held March 1, 2009 at 3 p.m. at Sneed Grove A.M.E. Zion Church in Ellerbe with the Rev. Cele Alsobrook and Rev. J.L. Ervin officiating. Burial will be in the McRae Cemetery in Ellerbe.
The family will receive friends Feb. 28, 2009 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funral home.
Surviving is one daughter, Evelyn Anderson of High Point, and five grandchildren.
McLendon Funeral Home of Ellerbe is in charge of arrangements.
