On Sept. 5th, Jimmy Brigman, a member of the Disabled Veterans, presented a plaque to Pastor Joey Byrd, of Temple Baptist Church and a group of young people from Temple Christian School. A plaque was presented to them for their participation in placing flags on the graves of the veterans on Memorial Day in May.

Brigman saved up donations from individuals and purchased 2,000 small American flags. He then garnered the support of the youth to help him place the flags on the graves of veterans in Richmond County, as part of Memorial Day observation.
