ASHEBORO - Charles Irving Lomax, entered into rest on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, at Universal Health Care Of Ramseur, Ramseur.

Visitation was held Sunday, Sept. 2, at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC, and other times at his daughter’s home at 4572 Little Beane Store Road, Seagrove. Funeral services were on Monday, Sept. 3, at Browers Chapel United Methodist Church, 1030 Browers Chapel Road, Asheboro. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

Lomax was born July 25, 1922, in Richmond County. He graduated from Hoffman High School, Hoffman. With pride and honor he served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He worked for Asheboro Plumbing and Heating as a Master Plumber and then as self employed for over 50 years. He retired only as health issues made him do so. He still offered advice and suggestions to anyone who needed his help.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joy S. Lomax.

His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Clyde Lomax (Kim) of Warner Robins, GA and Glenna Chriscoe (Roy) of Seagrove. Brothers, Raymond (Anne) Lomax of Jackson Springs, Roy (Mel) Lomax of Elizabethtown. Four grandchildren. Four great grandchildren, one step grandchild, two step great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
