After helping “turn their state Blue” last year, Richmond County Democrats will get ready for 2010 at its annual precinct organizing meetings in March.

“Countless volunteer hours and the extraordinary energy of people who care made this (2008 election) victory possible,” said Richmond County Democratic Party Chair Svea Strong.

“Now is not the time to sit back and let our energy fizzle. We need to keep the momentum going, and we need your help.”

Meetings are free and open to any registered Democrat residing in the precinct. Attendees will be electing delegates to the annual Richmond County Democratic Convention, which is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on April 18 at the Leath Memorial Library in Rockingham.
