Nora Eliza Tilley Lovin, 90, of Ellerbe, died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 21, at 11 a.m. at McLean Presbyterian Church with Rev. John Stone officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home in Ellerbe, and at other times at the home of her daughter Faye Stutts.

Mrs. Lovin was born in Surry County April 21, 1922, a daughter of the late Posey and Anna Elizabeth Smith Tilley. She was a seamstress in the textile industry. She was a member of McLean Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband William Leonard Lovin, sisters, Ruby Staples, Radar Blakely, Gladys Woods, Virginia Silvestri, Ester Tilley, and Frances Lovin, and brothers, Jerry Tilley, Vester Tilley, and Lester Tilley.

She is survived by her sons, Larry Lovin, Ronnie Lovin both of Rockingham, Dennie Lovin of Lumberton and Eric Lovin of Ellerbe; daughters Dianne L. Bianca of Myrtle Beach, Faye L. Stutts of Ellerbe, and Helen L. LoCascio of Hamlet; sisters Barbara Sears of Ellerbe and Mary Sue Dunn of Mt. Gilead, 14 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren.
