Mr. Albert “Frank” Clements, 83, of 711 Stanley Avenue, Rockingham, formerly of Hamlet, died, Tuesday, August 14, 2012, at First Health Richmond Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Hamlet, June 24, 1929, son of Albert H. Clements and Jewell Vining Clements.

Mr. Clements was a member of The First Baptist Church of Hamlet, a veteran of the US Air Force, serving during the Korean War; a graduate of NC State with a BS in Geological Engineering, a former teacher at Richmond Community College, was an engineer at WR Bonsal Co. and was in management and engineering at Tartan Marine. Frank was an avid sailor and was a horse and motorcycle enthusiast as well.

A Visitation will be Friday, August 17, 2012, at Harrington Funeral Home, Hamlet, from 7:00-9:00 pm

At other times the family will receive friends at 711 Stanley Avenue, Rockingham.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 2:00 pm, in the chapel of Harrington Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Bishop officiating.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his late wife, Margaret Byrd Clements; and brothers, Richard Huel Clements and Everett “Clem” Clements.

Survivors include his daughter, Leah C. Melvin and husband, Ken of Rockingham; and grandson, Charlie Melvin of Rockingham.
