The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office recently arrested Benjamin Darrel Davis, 40, Benji Road, Rockingham, on charges of manufacturing marijuana. Police said they arrested Davis on Aug. 6, 2012, after locating him growing 27 marijuana plants. Davis was released on a written promise to appear in court.
Tracy Hairston, 43, East Washington Street, Rockingham, was arrested on charges of felony larceny from a person. The Sheriff’s Office arrested Hairston on Aug. 3, 2012, for allegedly grabbing a purse from the victim and driving off. Hairston was placed in the Richmond County Jail under a $20,000 secure bond.
Demetrus Ingram, 30, East Hamlet Avenue, Hamlet, was arrested for selling/delivering cocaine. According to the Sheriff’s Office, Ingram was arrested on Aug. 7, 2012, for allegedly selling cocaine from his residence. Ingram was placed in the Richmond County Jail under a $1,000 secure bond.
Tammy Jeanette Adams, 41, Old Bennettsville Road, Hamlet, was arrested on charges of obtaining property by false pretenses. According to lawmen, Adams was arrested on Aug. 9, 2012, for allegedly passing three counterfeit $20 bills. Adams was placed in the Richmond County Jail under a $500 secure bond.
In an unrelated case, Carl Lynden Hailey, 32, Ponderosa Drive, Hamlet, was arrested on charges of felony larceny, obtaining property by false pretenses and second degree trespass. The Sheriff’s Office arrested Hailey on Aug. 10, 2012, for allegedly stealing and selling metal pipe from a location on Graham Bridge Road in Rockingham. Hailey was placed in the Richmond County Jail under a $5,000 secure bond.
Brandon Larsha Jacobs, 20, Plant Road, Laurinburg, was arrested on charges of injury to wire and fixtures of electric power company. According to lawmen, Jacobs was arrested on Aug. 2, 2012, for allegedly destroying electric copper wiring at a substation on Highway 38. He was released on a written promise to appear in court.
The Sheriff’s Office arrested Jamar Centell Jones, 23, Pence Street, Rockingham, on May 27, 2012, on charges of possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine. He was released on a written promise to appear in court.
Donnie Ray McDonald Jr., 24, Boone Street, Rockingham, was arrested on charges of selling/delivering marijuana. Lawmen arrested McDonald on Aug. 9, 2012, for allegedly selling marijuana from a house on Hannah Pickett Avenue in Rockingham. McDonald was placed in the Richmond County Jail under a $5,000 secure bond.
