Mr. James Albert Idol, 70, of 382 Beauty Lane, Hamlet, died, Tuesday, August 7, 2012 , at his residence.
He was born April 5, 1942, in Kings Mountain, son of Dennis Gordon Idol and Mildred Oaks Idol.
He was a member of East Rockingham Free Will Baptist Church and formerly worked in textiles.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 10, 2012, at 3:00 pm at Harrington Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Rippy officiating.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his two sons, Jamie Idol and Keith Idol; and two brothers, Gordon Idol and Loyd Idol.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Gibson Idol of the home; grandchildren, Jennifer Idol, Jamie J. Idol and Breanna Idol; two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Kaitlyn Pressley; brothers, Ernest Paul Idol of Indian Trail and Kenneth L. Idol of Hamlet; sisters, Linda Barnes and Karen Lynn Idol both of Rockingham and Mary Martha Idol of Roanoke Rapids and daughter – in- law Agnes Idol.
Harrington Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Idol Family.
