Hattie English McNeill, 71, of Laurinburg, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2012, at Scotland Memorial Hospital.

The family will receive friends from 11 to 12 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, at Richard Boles Funeral Service. A private service will be held at a later date.

Hattie was born Oct. 11, 1940, in Scotland County, a daughter of the late Melvin and Shirley Robinson English and the wife to the late Earl McNeill. She retired from the Belk Department Store.

She was also preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy “Dot” Allen and Ann White.

Hattie is survived by her children; sons, Neil McNeill of Laurinburg, Les McNeill of Rockingham; her daughter, Pam McNeill of Laurinburg and two grandchildren.

The family request in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made in memory of Mrs. McNeill to Hospice of Scotland County, P.O. Box 1033, Laurinburg, NC 28353.
