Dear Editor,
I would like to express how proud and excited I am of the ladies 10U Dixie All-Stars for winning the State Championship.
These ladies showed true sportsmanship and represented the City of Rockingham with distinguish.
I wish them all the best of lucky in the World Series in Georgetown, S.C. I look forward to taking my family down and supporting such an awesome group of ladies.
These ladies remind us of the incredible need for a sports complex in Rockingham. I want to commit to these ladies and others we will find a way to build such a site.
The Rockingham Parks and Recreational department has done an excellent job maintaining our current facilities and also providing first class recreational opportunities for our young people.
However, we must continue to drive and support character building programs within our city.
