Gospel concert to celebrate Sharon Williams’ CD release

A gospel concert will celebrate the release of local singer Sharon Williams’ CD “Faithful” which will be released on Saturday, according to her brother Clifton Steele.

Gospel lovers will gather at Wayman Chapel Faith Center, 451 Ghio Road, in Hamlet on Saturday. Doors open at 5 p.m. and a donation entry fee will be $10, with children younger than 12 being $3.

Williams, who is from Hamlet, now lives in Bennettsville, S.C. Her CD has five tracks, which she will perform Saturday.

Other gospel groups will be traveling to sing at the event. Those groups are Totally Committed from Marion, South Carolina, Derrick McDuffie & The Spiritual Messengers of Bennettsville, South Carolina, Flossie Boyd Johnson & Favor of Bishopville, South Carolina, Davonte & The Voices of Zion from Orangeburg, South Carolina, Bernetta & The Spiritual Brothers of Timmonsville, South Carolina, Pastor David Richardson & The Voices of Harmony from Fayetteville and Ya’Londa Freedman of Cheraw, S.C.

The program will begin at 6 p.m.
