Anthony Bernard Brown Sr., 43, of Morven, passed away Monday, July 16, 2012, at his home.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 21, at Streater Grove AME Zion Church in Morven with Rev. James L. Moore, pastor, officiating.

Anthony was born Aug. 14, 1968, in Anson County. He was a volunteer fireman for the town of Morven and was employed with the North Carolina Department of Transportation.

Survivors include his parents, Margaret B. Cummings of Greensboro and Bernard Brown of Lilesville; a daughter, Latoya Gibson of West Virginia; two sons, Anthony Bernard Brown Jr. of Albemarle and Jamae Anthony Brown of Morven; a sister, Debra Thompson of Greensboro; four brothers, Johnathan Brown of Philadelphia, Penn., Robert, Stephen and Michael Brown of Greensboro; grandmother, Clara Pratt of Lilesville; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
