Jordyn Wall, 11, of Hamlet, has been nominated to take part in the National Young Scholars Program.
The program, held on campuses across the United States, inspires outstanding 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students to explore, invent, learn and think creatively. NYSP allows students to expand their knowledge outside of the classroom in areas such as engineering, forensic science and medicine.
Jordyn was nominated by his teacher, Kim Pence, at Monroe Avenue School. This year, he will attend 6th grade at Hamlet Middle School.
He is the son of Sabrina Dawkins and Kerry Wall. Jordyn is the grandson of Diane and Sam Dawkins of Hamlet and Charlease Wall of Rockingham.
