Bobbie Elizabeth Martin and Lawrence Christopher Gerald, both of Rockingham, announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.
The bride-elect is a 2007 graduate of Richmond Senior High School, a 2009 graduate of Richmond Community College with an Associate of Arts degree, and is currently pursing a degree in Biology with Environmental Track at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. She is currently employed with Dairy Queen of Rockingham.
Bobbie is the daughter of Elaine Martin and the late Neil Martin of Rockingham.
The groom-elect is a 2007 graduate of Tar-heel Challenge Academy, and is employed with Asplundh Tree Company. Chris is the son of Ollie Gerald and the late Tammy Stubbs.
A 5:30 p.m. wedding is planned for Sept. 8, 2012, in Ellerbe.
