Clyde Everette Norton Sr., 73, of 191 Springhill Church Road, Hamlet, died Saturday, June 30, 2012, at his residence.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 3, at 3 p.m. at Abundant Life Church with Rev. Joe Wilkes officiating.
Visitation will be Monday, July 2, at Harrington Funeral Home, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Mr. Norton was born March 23, 1939, in Richmond County, son of Thomas Jefferson and Lottie Mae Smith Norton.
He is preceded in death by his late parents; wife, Delores Gayle Norton; brother, Jerry Norton; and sisters, Ruby Hodges and Monnie Norton.
Survivors include his sons, Rocky Norton of Hamlet and Mark Norton of Rockingham; sister, Helen Lovin of Hamlet; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Harrington Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Norton family.
