In observance of the holiday, the Daily Journal will be closed on the July 4th.
City office closings and changes in trash pickup are listed below:
Government offices in Hamlet will be closed on Wednesday. Wednesday’s residential garbage will be picked up on Thursday, and Thursday’s residential garbage will be picked up on Friday.
Government offices in Dobbins Heights will be closed for the holiday as well. Garbage collection will run as scheduled.
The town of Hoffman will close government offices, garbage will be collected on Thursday instead of Wednesday.
Rockingham street trash pickup will be interrupted. This includes pickup of limbs, leaves and debris. Regular garbage collection will not be interrupted. Government offices will be closed.
Trash will run normally in Ellerbe, and Ellerbe will hold its monthly town council meeting July 2, at 7 p.m.
Norman will hold its town council meeting on July 9 at 7 p.m.
The Richmond County Board of Commissioners has moved its July meeting to July 9 at 5:30 p.m.
