The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office recently arrested Jason Michael Sanders, 29, of Old Cheraw Highway in Rockingham on charges of indecent liberties with a minor. The Sheriff’s Office said Sanders was arrested on June 14, 2012, and is being charged with having a sexual relationship with a minor. Sanders was placed in the Richmond County Jail under a $20,000 secure bond.

In an unrelated case, Thomas Leslie Snead Jr., 38, of Ann St., Rockingham, was arrested for selling/delivering marijuana. According to the Sheriff’s Office, Snead was arrested on June 19, 2012, after deputies made a purchase of marijuana from him. Snead was released on a written promise to appear in court.

Lafonda Yvette Hamilton, 39, of East Washington Street, Rockingham, was arrested for possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said Hamilton was arrested on June 12, 2012, at Fallen Creek Park after deputies witnessed a drug transaction. Hamilton also allegedly had items used to digest the cocaine. She was released on a written promise to appear in court.

Arrest reports published in the Richmond County Daily Journal are copied from local law enforcement records. Reports include both arrests and criminal summons such as citations. The Daily Journal lists them all as arrests. People charged are presumed innocent until determined to be guilty by a court of law.
