Mrs. Ida Mae Hewitt McNeill, 77, of Rockingham, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 25, 2012 at her home.
Ida Mae was born March 18, 1935 in Richmond County a daughter of the late Edgar and Annie Mae Lundy Hewitt. She was a member of Roberdell Baptist Church and retired from Sara Lee Hosiery as a supervisor.
She was a loving Mother, Grand Mother, and Great Grand Mother as well as a devoted wife for 52 years to her late husband Fred McNeill who passed away in 2002.
She is survived by her children, Fred L. McNeill of Rockingham Tony McNeill and wife Karen of Rockingham, Mike McNeill and wife Donna of Rockingham,; Debbie McCaskill and husband Vic of Rockingham, grand children Christy Berry, Jeremy McNeill, Ashley McNeill. Drew McNeill, Spenser McNeill, Jordan McNeill, Chanze McCaskill, Jade McCaskill, great grandchildren Cayla Berry, Cassie Berry, Rylee McNeill, Evan McNeill and Nathan McNeill.
The family will be receiving friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Wednesday night at Carter Funeral Home and at other times at the home. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at Roberdell Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Smith and Rev. Charles Larrimore officiating. Interment with follow at Richmond County Memorial Park.
